Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What should children wear to Bubble Boots parties?
Children should wear comfortable clothing, preferably with legs covered to avoid friction burns. Long sleeve tops are recommended for Nerf parties. Please avoid expensive clothing, as we cannot guarantee it will not get damaged during the activities.
2. When can I access the party room for food?
The food room hire is usually booked for £15 for 45 minutes (this is included in our prices). Your food room booking starts at the time your food room is booked. Most centres allow you to set up 15 minutes before your party activity ends, although this may vary depending on other bookings. To be sure, we recommend contacting the centre the day before or on the morning of your party. If you require extra time for set-up, there is an additional charge of £45 per hour, subject to availability. Sometimes the centres are able to allow earlier access for free, but this is not guaranteed.
3. Can I decorate the food area?
Yes you can decorate the food area. If you are bringing big balloon displays you must take these away with you. Also please take into consideration the access times stated above.
4. What are the food areas like?
The food room at The Lakeside Centre can hold up to around 30 children seated, and up to 40 with some children not seated. This works well with a buffet where children line up for food then sit around the room, some seated (the kids don’t care and it is a lovely room overlooking the lake).
The food area at Hadrian Leisure Centre is part of the main school dining hall, split into 2 areas, separated by tables/chairs and the area is bigger, however, there could be another party booking on the other side the same time as your booking. You could pay extra to book the other area out at the same time. Hadrian can hold up to around 45 children, seated. This is subject to availability.
The food rooms at The Parks can hold up to 30 children and there is one room that can hold up to 40, seated.
5. When does my balance become payable?
The balance for the party is due either in cash on the day of the event, before the event begins, or up to two days prior via bank transfer.
6. What sweets do the children receive?
Each child will receive a small packet of Haribo sweets as part of the party package. We do aim to have vegetarian options, this is subject to availability. Please advise us if you would like all vegetarian sweets within 3 days of your event.
7. Can you arrange the food for me?
Yes, we can arrange food for the party, which should be requested at the time of booking. The cost for food will need to be paid with the deposit. Alternatively, you can contact the Cafe Cart at The Lakeside Centre aon 07769505168, where food starts from £4 per child and is hot food such as chips, chicken/veg nuggets etc. You may also consider Rock n Rolls, which offers a buffet for £3.50 per child. They can be reached at 07491577408, however you may need to collect from Shiremoor. At all Leisure Centres you can also bring your own. Food or party bags are not included in any party.
8. Should I tell guests to come early?
For Nerf parties, we recommend that guests arrive 5 minutes before the party start time so we can go over the rules and ensure all children are ready for the activities. We cannot extend the time or rearrange if you are late to your party booking as the venue, staff and other costs have already been paid. You will still be responsible for the full amount of the party.
9. What if more children are coming than 30?
If you expect more than 30 children, please inform us as soon as possible, as the inflatables have a safe capacity limit. Additional charges apply for extra children, and please note that The Lakeside Centre can only usually accommodate up to 32 children in the food room with tables and chairs for sitting. If more than 30 children turn up to your event and participate you will get charged or your party may not be able to go ahead for safety reasons. This applies to packages with 40 children – you must not have more than 40.
10. Build a Buddy Party Info:
It is your responsibility to ensure that only those children you have invited and have paid for make and receive bears. Any siblings or extras will have to be paid for before participation at a cost of £14.99pp.
11. Face Paints:
Facepaint is not allowed on the inflatables. If you would like to arrange a face painter, you will need to organise this for the food room part of your booking. Please consider access times and the duration of your food room booking first.

Bubble Boots Parties – Terms and Conditions for Parents
Welcome to Bubble Boots Parties! We’re thrilled you’ve chosen us to host a fun and exciting event for your child. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, please take a moment to read and understand the following terms and conditions. By booking a party with us, you agree to the terms set out below. The terms and conditions may sound daunting, but we must advise you of these for insurance and safety purposes.
1. Behaviour Policy
- No bullying or disruptive behaviour will be tolerated during any party activities. We aim to provide a fun and positive experience for all children. If a child is involved in bullying or disruptive behaviour, parents will be contacted and must be ‘on call’ if we need to address the issue. If the behaviour continues, parents may be required to collect their child immediately. No refund will be given.
2. Inflatables & Risk Acknowledgement
- We use safe, secure inflatables and ensure that mats are in place to minimise risks. However, please be aware that injuries, although rare, may still occur. By booking a party with us, you acknowledge that the child will be participating in activities involving inflatables at their own risk. As the party organiser, you are responsible for making sure all children participate in a safe manner.
3. Nerf Activities
- During Nerf-related activities, children will be provided with secure, wrap-around goggles for safety. While we take every precaution, it’s important for parents to understand that children may still get shot with foam Nerf bullets. By booking a Nerf party, you accept the risk associated with these activities. If children do not listen to the rules given to them regarding wearing goggles at all times and get injured, we cannot be held responsible. As the party organiser, it is your responsibility to ensure all children wear goggles at all times, or ensure all parents stay during your event to supervise their children. The event may havae to be stopped if children are not adhering to safety rules, no refund will be given.
4. Sports Activities
- Our party package may include various sports activities such as football, dodgeball, and tag. As with any physical activity, there is an inherent risk of injury. We will take all necessary safety precautions, but parents should accept the possibility of minor injuries occurring.
5. Health, Fitness & SEN
- Parents must ensure that their child is physically fit and healthy to participate in all activities. By booking a party, parents confirm that their child is capable of engaging in physical activities, including inflatables, Nerf games, and sports.
- SEN children are always welcome and we do have both personal and professional experience. However, this is dependent on the level of needs required, we are not liable for accidents if the rules are not followed. We do not offer 1:1 services, parents of SEN children must closely accompany their child if their child requires this.
- Our parties are run at centres that may also have other entertainment companies operating on the other side of the hall at the same time as your party. These parties may be loud. You do have an option, subject to availability, to book out the other part of the hall for an extra £40ph to avoid this.
- It is your responsibility to tell us of any special requests relating to SEND.
- Please get in touch for more info.
6. Health & Safety Procedures
- We take health and safety very seriously. Our Managers are trained in first aid, and we ensure all activities are risk-assessed to minimise accidents. However, please understand that some risks cannot be fully avoided, and parents are asked to acknowledge these inherent risks. We are not responsible for any injuries that occur due to children not listening to the rules. Ensuring children are following rules is the parents responsibility, so we advise that you insist on all parents staying during your party to supervise their child/children.
7. Bad Behaviour Policy
- Any failure to follow instructions or bad behaviour will result in the child being removed from the activities. If misbehaviour continues, parents may be asked to collect the child. This ensures that all children can enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience in line with our safeguarding policies. No refund will be given.
8. Personal Belongings
- Bubble Boots Parties is not responsible for any damage or loss to clothing or personal items (such as clothing, accessories, toys, or gadgets) brought to the party. We strongly recommend that children do not wear expensive clothing or bring valuable items to the event.
9. Risk Assessments & Insurance
- Detailed risk assessments are available upon request. We hold £5 million public liability insurance, which covers any unforeseen incidents that may occur during the party.
10. Photography & Data Protection
- Photos and videos may be taken during the party activities, this is usually only to provide to the parent who’s party it is. If you do not wish your child to be included in any photos or videos, please let us know in advance. We adhere to a strict data protection policy and take all necessary steps to protect the privacy of the children in our care. Any photos shared online will generally have children’s faces blurred for added privacy.
11. Party Organiser’s Responsibility
- The party organiser (usually the parent or guardian) is ultimately responsible for ensuring that all children at the party follow the rules and behave appropriately. While our staff supervise and assist with the activities, the organiser should be prepared to help any children who need support or sustain injuries. The party organiser must also ensure that children abide by the rules, particularly if any parents are not present at the event.
By booking your child’s party with us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to helping you create a memorable and fun experience at Bubble Boots Parties!
